The space

Set on the fifth floor of a beautifully refurbished building in the Cape Town CBD, this light-filled triple-volume loft combines striking architecture with a surprisingly quiet and comfortable place to stay. Acoustic-glass windows and sliding doors help shut out the city noise, while the elevated position fills the apartment with natural light and sweeping views. The apartment's defining feature is its spectacular triple-volume living area. The soaring ceilings, generous windows and open mezzanine design create an exceptional sense of space and light that is rare in a city apartment.

The spacious mezzanine bedroom overlooks the living area and includes an extra-length queen-size bed, air-conditioning, generous built-in cupboards, a dedicated workspace and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. This makes the loft equally well suited to a Cape Town getaway, a business trip, a remote-working stay or a longer visit.

Downstairs, the full bathroom offers both a refreshing shower and a relaxing bath. The bright, comfortable living area features a generous L-shaped couch and a dining table for four, an inviting space for a relaxed morning, a quiet evening or unwinding after exploring the city. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to prepare meals at home. A washing machine is neatly tucked away in a cupboard, making the apartment practical and convenient for longer stays.

The private balcony and views

The private balcony is one of the apartment's highlights. With sweeping views across Cape Town, it is the perfect place for morning coffee, a relaxed afternoon drink, evening sundowners or watching the city lights and the Cape Town sunset. I start my mornings there as Cape Town comes alive below, and in the evening I enjoy a sundowner before walking out to nearby restaurants, cafés, bars, galleries and nightlife.

Central location

Step outside and experience the energy of the Cape Town CBD. Walk to restaurants, cafés, galleries, bars and city attractions or use the apartment as your base for exploring Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town's beaches, the Atlantic Seaboard and the Cape Winelands. You are close to everything, while still having a peaceful, private space above the city to return to.

Security, parking and uninterrupted comfort

The apartment is located in a secure building with 24-hour security, a manned lobby, tag-access entry and your own guaranteed reserved parking bay inside the building. Secure on-site parking is a valuable convenience if you plan to explore Cape Town, the surrounding beaches or the Cape Winelands by car. The building is also exempt from scheduled load shedding, helping to provide a more comfortable and uninterrupted stay.

Perfect for

Couples and solo travellers, business travellers, remote workers and digital nomads, weekend city breaks, longer Cape Town stays and guests looking for secure parking and a central location.

Come for the central location. Stay for the architecture, the balcony and the views. This is not your typical city apartment. It is a dramatic, light-filled loft above Cape Town, close to the city's energy but surprisingly peaceful when it is time to come home.

Guest access

Guests have full access to the loft. If staying longer than 7 days, weekly cleaning services will be arranged.

Good to know

House rules are strict when it comes to noise, so please be considerate towards other tenants in the building. No smoking or vaping is permitted in the apartment.
